School of Prayer Ministry - Carleton Place - May 4 - 6
The Spirit of the Lord is on me
because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
Luke 4:18-19 NIV
VMTC's approach to prayer brings the believer to a place of deep healing and full freedom. Jesus describes his ministry using words like good news, freedom, recovery and favour. The gospel of Jesus invites his people to live lives characterized by wholeness and liberty. VMTC's pattern of prayer includes finding forgiveness through confession, experiencing emotional healing, liberation from negative spiritual influences and habits, and the ongoing strengthening presence of the Holy Spirit.
Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed? Life can throw a lot our way, leaving us with:
Emotional burdens: Hurts we carry alone can feel too heavy to manage.
Relationship struggles: Past issues can impact our relationships today.
Stress overload: Coping with the demands of daily life can be difficult.
Past traumas: Negative experiences undermine our present well-being.
Harmful habits: Destructive responses to challenges leave us feeling trapped.
If you can relate to any of these challenges, you would benefit from a personal prayer ministry session.
Crisis Intervention: We focus on the healing of wounds from past trauma and heartache, not on current crises.
Counselling: We do not give advice or share opinions. We create space for the Holy Spirit to speak.
Ongoing: Each prayer ministry session is a one-time event. We trust the Holy Spirit to continue the work He begins in the prayer ministry session. We do, however, recommend people receive prayer ministry annually.
Trained Team: Every session is done by two prayer ministers: a lead and a support. Sometimes a third, called an intercessor, is also present. These individuals have carefully prepared and been formally released as prayer ministers by VMTC Canada through participation in multiple schools of prayer ministry and mentoring opportunities.
Long-Term Transformation: Personal prayer ministry is not a quick-fix solution for an immediate crisis. Rather, it aims to facilitate a profound shift, helping individuals surrender their burdens to God's healing grace and to experience more deeply the healing and freedom found in Christ.
Free and Voluntary Service: No cost is involved, and our ministers serve voluntarily. A donation to VMTC to support the ministry is welcome, as is a gift to the prayer ministers if they have incurred transportation costs travelling to the session.
Discovering Root Causes: Go beyond surface problems to address underlying issues that hinder your wholeness and freedom.
Openness and Forgiveness: Receive God's forgiveness for past sins and cultivate forgiveness towards others. Allow the Holy Spirit to do the work of healing and freedom that he wants to do in you. This requires humility and honesty.
Faithful Commitment: Be prepared to walk out the freedom and healing you experience in your prayer ministry session by commiting in a new way to cooperate with the Spirit in your life.
Complete Confidentiality: Your session is completely private and strictly confidential. No notes are taken. No details are shared with anyone at any time.
Logistics: A comfortable and private location is chosen by you and the ministry team. It is often a local church. Allow three to hours for your prayer session.
